Ben Franklin Society of PIA/GATF

"The Ben Franklin Society of PIA/GATF announces twelve new members to be inducted at an annual black-tie Induction and Awards Ceremony, November 10, 2006 at the Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee, WI.

The new members are William Bachman (Cohber Press, Rochester, NY), Sidney L. Chadwick (Chadwick Consulting, Inc., Lewisville, NC), William Coale (retired, Alcom Printing Group, Harleysville, PA), William Farmer (Farmer & Associates, Central Point, OR), G. Kenneth Engle (Magna Graphics, Lexington, KY), James A. Gordon (Winston Printing, Winston-Salem, NC), John M. Hamm (John M. Hamm & Associates, Annapolis, MD), Terry Heyer (Print & Graphic Association Mid Atlantic, Columbia, MD), Michael Makin ( PIA/GATF, Sewickley, PA), Ralph Moore (Commercial Printing, Raleigh, NC), Frank Woods (Steve Woods Printing Company, Phoenix, AZ), and Frank Gualtieri (posthumously, PIA/GATF, Sewickley, PA).

The purpose of the Ben Franklin Society of PIA/GATF is to recognize and honor industry leaders who have made lasting contributions to the printing and graphic communications industries. This includes, but is not limited to, the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation ( PIA/GATF) and its affiliates and the Print & Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF). The Ben Franklin Society of the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation ( PIA/GATF) was founded on November 12, 2005 at San Francisco, California, by the consolidation of two established honor societies—The Ash Khan Society of PIA and The Society of Fellows of GATF, established in 1950 and 1969 respectively."
